About Me
My name is Leanne and I am passionate about ensuring people have access to support for their mental health to help them develop and grow. For more than 20 years I have worked in consultancy and public service environments. I have always been fascinated about why people do what they do, and in understanding what makes them tick which has led to me becoming a coach and therapist.
I hold a Level 7 qualification in Transactional Analysis Counselling and I am in advanced clinical training to qualify as a psychotherapist. I am a registered member with the United Kingdom Association of Psychotherapists (UKCP Trainee) and United Kingdom Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA Student). I practice in accordance with the UKCP and UKATA Ethical Codes of Practice.
I draw upon all of my life experience to help support my clients and I offer an integrated approach predominantly using Transactional Analysis. This model of psychotherapy is proven to be clinically effective and I encourage clients to remain in therapy only for as long as they need. In therapy we are always working towards an ending where you have achieved your goals.
To ensure I am practicing safely and in line with UKCP and UKATA standards, I undertake regular continuous professional development training, in addition to my advanced clinical training. I have regular supervision to ensure I am giving the best possible treatment to my clients and we will regularly evaluate our progress to ensure you are getting what you need. Should you commence services with me, our contract will fully explain how this works in practice.
